Brain Tissues Segmentation in MR Images based on Level Set Parameters Improvement   Mohammad masoud Javidi 1 , Majid Hajizade 1  and Mehdi Jafari Shahbazi 2 1 Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran  and  2 Islamic Azad University, Iran Abstract  This paper presents a new image processing technique for brain tissue segmentation, precisely,in order to recognize brain diseases. Automatic level set(ALS) is a powerful method for segmenting brain tissues in MR images that uses spatial Fuzzy C-Means (SFCM) to set initial contour near the object’s boundaries in order to increasing the speed of algorithm. Themethod efficiency depends on selecting the optimized amounts of controlling parameter. In this paper, the ALSis improved by optimal regulating of controlling parameters. The proposedmethod contains two phases. In the first phase, the initial contour of ALS determined via the SFCM and image features are extracted. Then, the optimal controlling par...

Optimal Prediction of the Expected Value of Assets Under Fractal Scaling Exponent

Optimal Prediction of the Expected Value of Assets Under Fractal Scaling Exponent   Bright O. Osu 1  and JoyI. Adindu-Dick 2 1 Abia State University, Nigeria and  2 IMO State University, Nigeria ABSTRACT  In this paper, the optimal prediction of the expected value of assets under the fractal scaling exponent is considered. We first obtain a fractal exponent, then derive a seemingly Black-Scholes parabolic equation. We further obtain its solutions under given conditions for the prediction of expected value of assets given the fractal exponent.  Keywords:  Fractal scaling exponent, Hausdorff dimension, Black-Scholesequation.  For more details:  https://airccse.com/mathsj/papers/1314mathsj03.pdf

Retooling of Color Imaging in ihe Quaternion Algebra   Artyom M. Grigoryan and Sos S. Agaian, University of Texas at San Antonio, USA ABSTRACT  A novel quaternion color representation tool is proposed to the images and videos efficiently. In this work, we consider a full model for representation and processing color images in the quaternion algebra. Color images are presented in the threefold complex plane where each color component is described by a complex image. Our preliminary experimental results show significant performance improvements of the proposed approach over other well-known color image processing techniques. Moreover, we have shown how a particular image enhancement of the framework leads to excellent color enhancement (better than other algorithms tested). In the framework of the proposed model, many other color processing algorithms, including filtration and restoration, can be expressed.  KEYWORDS Image Color Analysis, Discrete Four...

ON β-NORMAL SPACES  1 o. Ravi, 2 i. Rajasekaran, 3 s. Murugesan And 4 a. Pandi  1;2 Department of Mathematics,P. M. Thevar College, Usilampatti, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu, India.  3Department of Mathematics, Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur-626 203, Tamil Nadu, India.  4Department of Mathematics, The Madura College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to study the class of β-normal spaces. The relationships among s-normal spaces, pnormal spaces and β-normal spaces are investigated. Moreover, we study the forms of generalized β-closed functions. We obtain characterizations of β-normal spaces, properties of the forms of generalized β-closed functions and preservation theorems.   For More Details please visit:  https://airccse.com/mathsj/papers/2115mathsj03.pdf

Cubic Response Surface Designs Using Bibd in Four Dimensions

CUBIC RESPONSE SURFACE DESIGNS USING BIBD IN FOUR DIMENSIONS  P.Seshu Babu,2 A.V.Dattatreya Rao 1 , G.V.S.R. Anjaneyulu1 and K.Srinivas3 1Department of Statistics, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur- 522 510.(A.P),INDIA. 2Department of Science & Humanities, Sri Vasavi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Nandamuru, Padana Mandal, Krishna District – 521 369 (A.P), INDIA. 3 Department of Statistics, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada-520008. ABSTRACT  Response Surface Methodology (RSM) has applications in Chemical, Physical, Meteorological, Industrial and Biological fields. The estimation of slope response surface occurs frequently in practical situations for the experimenter. The rates of change of the response surface, like rates of change in the yield of crop to various fertilizers, to estimate the rates of change in chemical experiments etc. are of interest. If the fit of second order response is inadequate for the design points, we continue...

Quantum Variation about Geodesics

Quantum Variation about Geodesics  Simon Davis  Research Foundation of Southern California 8837 La Jolla Village Drive #13595 La Jolla, CA 92039    ABSTRACT  The caustic that occur in geodesics in space-times which are solutions to the gravitational field equations with the energy-momentum tensor satisfying the dominant energy condition can be circumvented if quantum variations are allowed. An action is developed such that the variation yields the field equations and the geodesic condition, and its quantization provides a method for determining the extent of the wave packet around the classical path. APPROXIMATE ANALYTICAL SOLUTION OF NON-LINEAR BOUSSINESQ EQUATION FOR THE UNSTEADY GROUND WATER FLOW IN AN UNCONFINED AQUIFER BY HOMOTOPY PERTURBATION TRANSFORM METHOD Deepti Mishraa , Vikas Pradhanb and Manoj Mehtab a LDRP Institute of Technology & Research , Ganddhinagar, India bDepartment of Applied Mathematics & Humanities, S.V.N.I.T, Surat 395007, India Abstract  For one dimensional homogeneous, isotropic aquifer, without accretion the governing Boussinesq equation under Dupuit assumptions is a nonlinear partial differential equation. In the present paper approximate analytical solution of nonlinear Boussinesq equation is obtained using Homotopy perturbation transform method(HPTM). The solution is compared with the exact solution. The comparison shows that the HPTM is efficient, accurate and reliable. The analysis of two important aquifer parameters namely viz. specific yield and hydraulic conductivity is studied to see the effects on the height of wa...

An edge subversion strategy of a graph , say , is a set of edge(s) in whose adjacent vertices which is incident with the removal edge(s) are removed from . The survival subgraph is denoted by − . The edgeneighbor-rupture degree of connected graph , , is defined to be where is any edge-cut-strategy of , − is the number of the components of − , and − is the maximum order of the components of − . In this paper we give some results for the edge-neighbor-rupture degree of the gra...
